The Sierra Leone Association of Artists and Musicians (SLAAM) has unveiled the winners of its 8th edition which took place on Friday 2nd June 2023 in the United States of America.

The awards featured 38 different categories which were won by prominent Sierra Leoneans and other nationals doing great in the Sierra Leone entertainment industry.

This year’s event speaks out about Mental Health and Suicide Prevention.

SLAAM is a forum for the advocacy of Sierra Leonean music and artistic talent in the USA and will aggressively support the creative and economic viability of Sierra Leonean professionals in the entertainment field to not just succeed in Sierra Leone or within the Sierra Leonean Diaspora but to succeed in the mainstream USA music industry and ultimately experience a long deserved global recognition.

SLAAM is also a professional trade organization Registered as a nonprofit corporation with an extraordinary vision that seeks to empower Sierra Leonean musicians and artists in every way possible with the training, marketing, and execution needed to make their mark in the competitive USA music industry and gain the recognition they deserve as leading artists in the global entertainment industry.

Winners of the SLAAM 2023 edition include Fantacee Wiz as the Best Female Artist and Best Cultural Artist, Drizilik as Best Male Artist and Best Collaboration, Phebean Swill as Best TV Host, Ellen Keister as Best Talk Show Host, etc.
