The elder sister of a 15-year-old girl who was allegedly raped by Dwight Smith has spoken out about the incident. According to her, her younger sister informed her on a Sunday morning that she had been assaulted by Smith while she was alone at home.

After her younger sister informed her about the unfortunate incident, she immediately called Dwight’s girlfriend, who is also her friend, to ask about her boyfriend’s whereabouts. She then informed the victim’s father before proceeding to the Family Support Unit (FSU) to file an official complaint with the police.

She continued by explaining that while she was at the police station, her friend, who is the alleged perpetrator’s girlfriend, called to ask why she was looking for her boyfriend. During the call, her friend informed her that her boyfriend, Dwight, had allegedly raped her younger sister on the night when they were not at home.

She further stated that on their way back from the police station, they encountered her friend and Dwight. At that moment, Dwight started questioning her, asking if he had indeed raped her sister. She responded by telling him that her sister wouldn’t make a false accusation, especially since he had previously asked her to date him. She also mentioned that she has a witness to prove that Dwight had once asked her sister out.

She said after she made a report at the FSU, she was asked to go with her sister to the Aberdeen Women’s Center for checkup which they did and the result was taken back to the FSU.

After they submitted the report at the FSU, a warrant of arrest was issued by the Sierra Leone Police for Dwight Smith who she said is on the run presently.
