The largest musical festival in the subregion will be held on December 10, 2022, and is being organized by United Bank for Africa (UBA) in collaboration with ECOFEST.

ECOFEST is a household name in Sierra Leone and the sub-region. Within the sub-region and in Sierra Leone, ECOFEST is well-known. Its founder, Abubakarr Turay, better known by his stage name Kabaka, is a legendary figure in the music business whose affinity for music has made him the ambassador of musical events in Sierra Leone and the surrounding area.

ECOFEST has over the years hosted big and popular music stars in Africa.

Ecofest Music Festival has been held for the past four to five years. There have been several editions in Sierra Leone and one in the Gambia. It is a platform for West African Musicians and artists to celebrate annually in Sierra Leone. He has brought artists from different countries to celebrate in Sierra Leone.

Artists from nine different West African nations, including Guinea Bissau, Guinea, Gambia, Liberia, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Ivory Coast, and Sierra Leone, will perform at this year’s ECOFEST Musical Festival.

The event will take place at the Sierra Leone Football Association’s facilities in Kingtom. This year’s participants include well-known performers including Shatta Wale, Afaz, Bad Guyz, MC Caro, and Falz from Nigeria.
