Meet our woman crush for this week, Doris Moriba.

Doris Moriba, an activist advocating for women & girls’ rights and a community developer was born in Bo District and raised in Kenema district.

She has been channeling matters in court for women and girls who have been advantage by men and families, engaged in sensitization to schools and public places and radio engagement, on Gender-based violence, teenage pregnancy, sexual reproductive health care, early marriages, and also teaches on right and responsibilities, peace Ambassador to peers, age and ages. She is not afraid to speak up and take action against the injustices and inequalities that women and girls face in her society. She believes that every woman and girl deserve respect, dignity, and opportunity.

She has dedicated her life to helping them overcome their obstacles and achieve their potential. She has also been raising awareness on issues such as gender-based violence, teenage pregnancy, sexual and reproductive health care, and early marriages through various platforms, including schools, public places, and radio programs. She aims to educate and empower women and girls to make informed decisions about their lives and futures.

Doris Moriba holds an ND and BSc in Business Administration from the Eastern Polytechnic.

Doris Moriba holds a National Diploma and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the Eastern Polytechnic. She has pursued her academic and professional goals with excellence and determination. She currently works as a project secretary at the Kenema Government Hospital under the Lassa fever project. She also leads the Young Women in Governance Network in Kenema District since 2020, where she advocates for the participation and representation of women in decision-making processes and positions.

Doris Moriba has made a lasting impact with her efforts and actions to promote community development and sustainability. She is a staunch defender of women’s empowerment and equality in the nation. She has received recognition and appreciation from various organizations and individuals for her work and achievements.
