The Government of Sierra Leone through the Ministry of Health and Sanitation (MOHS) has started a stakeholders validation workshop on health related issues and regulations that will meet international best practices.

The validation process focused on the development of the Public Health Emergency Operation Centre handbook and legal framework. This initiative aims to ensure compliance with international health regulations and enhance the overall state of healthcare in the country

In a proactive effort to combat misinformation in the healthcare system and bolster the sector’s responsiveness to health-related matters, MoHS has partnered and collaborated with social media bloggers. This collaboration aims to address misinformation and vaccine hesitancy, with the goal of increasing public awareness and promoting accurate information sharing on Covid-19 prevention measures and routine vaccinations.
