The Waterloo Police Station has taken custody of 13 individuals, consisting of 2 women and 11 men, who reside in various locations in and around the community.
These arrests were carried out on charges of incitement and unlawful protests, as the group was found demonstrating on major streets in Waterloo while holding placards.
Additionally, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Waterloo Division is currently interrogating Alhaji Ibrahim Sesay, the Headman of Deep-Eye Water in Waterloo. He faces allegations of incitement, conspiracy, and unlawful protest.
Alhaji Ibrahim Sesay vehemently denies the accusations leveled against him and asserts that he had no involvement in the mentioned activities.
As the investigation progresses, further updates regarding the situation are anticipated.
