Alusine Kamara a fishmonger alleged to have robbed one Hassan Kapri Dumbeya of properties worth over 50000 Leones in October, 2020 in the Western Area have been sentenced to 5 years imprisonment.
Kamara who has been in remand since 2020, pleaded guilty to the case contravening the section 23(2) of the Larceny Act 1916.
The brief of the case read that the accused stole good worth 5,016,000 Leones from Dumbeya shop and also inflicted injuries on the victim.
After a back and forth on the matter, Justice Sesay of Siaka Steven Street High Court said, “I submit that the prosecution has proven it case beyond all reasonable doubts against the accused”, sentenced the accused to 5 years in prison.
