A 24-year-old laborer, Alie Kamara, has been remanded in custody after being charged with multiple offenses, including wounding with intent, actual bodily harm, and assault.
Kamara appeared before Magistrate John Manso Fornah at the Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown. According to police reports, the incident occurred on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at #28 Oliver Street, Aberdeen, in the Western Area of Freetown. He is accused of wounding Carlton Johannes Wilson with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
On counts two and three, the accused is further alleged to have maliciously wounded and assaulted Mr. Wilson on the same date and location, resulting in actual bodily harm.
No plea was taken as the matter is currently at the preliminary investigation stage.
Prosecuting the case, Sergeant Florence M. Wilson requested a short adjournment due to the absence of her witnesses.
Given the gravity of the offenses, Magistrate Fornah denied bail and adjourned the matter to July 24, 2025.
