The Deputy Commissioner of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Augustine Foday Ngobie has assured prospective beneficiaries of the Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT), of ACC’s alertness in ensuring an integrity-cantered process.
He made this assurance in his statement at the training on Friday 24th February 2023, at the M. J. Swaray Hall, which hosted a session on the implementation of the Emergency Cash Transfer (ECF), in Bo city.
He informed them that the Government of Sierra Leone designed this scheme with support from partners, to alleviate the sufferings of the people and improve the business sector respectively.
He disclosed that the monies provided are part of the Social Safety Net (SSN) Program, designed to better their lives by uplifting their living standards and that, the Government of Sierra Leone and its partners have catered for the poor people.
He commended the National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA), and other partners for their dedication and unrelenting support in effecting the poverty reduction strategy.
The engagements with the people are set to capture many other district training centres ranging from Kenema, Makeni, and Port Loko in the coming days, to ensure that there is effectiveness and efficiency in the dispensation.
