A 6-year-old girl has suffered severe burns in both hands after her aunt punished her for wasting a baby perfume belonging to a neighbour.

The aunt is said to be on the run but the husband was accompanied to the police by neighbours on Friday evening hours after the incident occurred.

Photos of the 6-year-old, which was made public on Saturday afternoon by Ibrahim Kamara, has been received with anger with some describing the aunt’s action as “evil and odd”.

Meanwhile, Police at Kissy are currently searching for the aunt who is said to be currently on the run.The community people at Mamba Ridge have also through their support for the arrest of the aunt.
