Amara Sannoh a 15-year-old boy and his Step Mother Monica Turay have been remanded at the Male and Female Correctional Centers respectively for refusing to speak in Court after making their third appearance before Magistrate Abdul Carew of the Magistrate Court No.1 in Kenema City.

It was alleged that Monica Turay on the 28th of March 2023 at Cowyard Section, Kenema throw boiling palm oil on Amara Sannoh.

The accused is charged with three counts of charges, wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, wounding contrary to section 20, and assault occasioning Actual Bodily Harm.

The victim Amara Sannoh when appearing before Magistrate Abdul Carew to give his testimonies, refuse to speak.

Magistrate Abdul Carew has remanded both the victim Amara Sannoh and the accused Monica Turay at the Male and Female Correctional Centers respectively in Kenema.

The matter was adjourned to Thursday 20th April 2023.
The matter is been prosecuted by Sgt. 4654 Watta Bakarr from the Legal Justice and Support Department of the Kenema Police Division.
