Fire incident has left residents at 13 Henery Street homeless in Freetown. The entire compound was completely burnt down and resulted in the loss of property worth Millions of Leones.

According to eye witnesses they said the fire was caused by a ”coal pot” they took into the house after cooking.

They said the fire in the ”coal pot” was not properly put out and was taken into the house. The embers later developed into full blown fire and resulted to the burning of a one story board house and all other makeshift one rooms houses in the compound.

This is the sixth compound that has been burnt down within five months this year alone in this constituency (107). The National Fire Force did their best to put out the fire and contain it, but  they arrived too late to stop the inferno.
