Justice Adrian Fisher has remanded two Waterloo businessmen, Sulaiman Konikay Tholley and Mohamed Konikay Tholley at the Male Correctional Centre on Pademba Road.
The two men were in court for allegedly stealing goods over NLe 270,000.
The Waterloo businessmen saw their bail overturned after they failed to appear in court.
Their lawyer, Charles Pujeh said their absence was due to miscommunication and promised such will not recur.
But the Prosecutor E.A Zizer pleaded with Justice Fisher to remand the two men.
Police said the two businessmen stole a 30 KVA Perkins Generator and one A&V two tons ice machine both valued at NLe 145,000.
The said items were properties of one Lawrence Larry of Tombo village at the outskirts of Waterloo.
Both men were being prosecuted on a two count charge for conspiracy to commit a larceny with Sulaiman also being charged for perverting justice.
Police records indicated that the first accused was lying when he allegedly misinformed police that the second accused was not at the said crime scene. They said the first accused told them that his co-accused was at Tambakha Chiefdom when the crime was committed. (Xanax)
