Earlier this week, the Chinese technical team conducted a successful test of the newly installed floodlights at the stadium’s practice field, marking a key milestone in the ongoing rehabilitation of the facility.

The test was part of efforts to ensure that the floodlights were properly installed and functional, providing adequate lighting for night events.

The test coincided with a friendly football match between the Chinese technical team and the Stadium Rehabilitation team, showcasing the readiness of the lighting system for future activities.

According to the Head of the Chinese Technical Team, the practice field is set to host a variety of sports events, including Premier League matches, with the floodlights playing a critical role in supporting night games and other events.

As part of the broader rehabilitation project, installation of plastic seats for the practice field’s open stands is scheduled to begin in December 2024.

This development aligns with the project timeline, which anticipates that the entire stadium will be fully refurbished by 2025, meeting international standards set by FIFA for hosting national and global sporting events.
