Series of dawn raids conducted by the Operations Team of the Harbour Police Division, two individuals have been apprehended on charges related to drug trafficking in Freetown.

Among the arrested is Abdulai Bangura, also known as Orkass, aged 30, residing at 7 Kissy Brook, back of NPA, off Blackhall Road, Freetown.

During the operation, Bangura was found in possession of 78 wraps of Kush, a potent strain of marijuana, along with 2 pharmaceutical sachets containing the substance.

Additionally, Joseph Kpange, aged 32, residing at 24 Cline Street, Freetown, was apprehended under suspicion of drug trafficking. Kpange had been operating under the guise of a late evening tea seller in the Cline Town area, located in the east end of Freetown. Upon his arrest, authorities discovered 133 wraps of Kush in his possession.

However, Kpange vehemently denies any involvement in drug dealing, claiming innocence by stating, “The Kush that was found in a bag that was on top of my tea table was left there by an unknown customer who came to drink tea. The entire Cline Town community knows that I am not a Kush dealer.”

Both suspects, along with the confiscated narcotics, are currently held in custody at the Ross Road Police Station, pending further investigation. The Harbour Police Division has assured the public of their commitment to thoroughly examine the evidence and pursue justice in accordance with the law.
