A serious clash erupted on Monday, March 23, 2026, between supporters of District Appeals Court applicant, Exton Mohamed Zoker, and defendant, Juana James, over a disputed piece of land located along Torwama Road in Bo.

According to Anthony Gassimu Brima, reports indicate that the District Appeals Court in Bo, presided over by Chairman Magistrate Alhaji Sulaiman Koroma, alongside assessors Patrick Moriba and Bobor Joe Sumaila, delivered a ruling on March 18, 2026, in favour of Exton Mohamed Zoker. The court ordered that vacant possession of the land be granted to the plaintiff through the Under Sheriff’s Office in Bo.

According to further reports, a request was made to the police to provide security for the bailiff during the execution of the court order. The request was reportedly forwarded to the Assistant Inspector General’s (AIG) office. However, the execution was attempted without police security, as efforts to secure coverage proved unsuccessful.

The absence of security led to a confrontation between supporters of both parties during the attempted enforcement of the court order, despite an ejectment warrant having been issued against Juana James.

Police personnel from the Bo East and Bo West Divisions later responded to distress calls and intervened to restore calm. During the incident, Juana James sustained a serious head injury.

The Local Unit Commander (LUC) of Bo West Division has invited both the bailiff and the applicant to report to the AIG’s office for further investigation into the matter. Juana James has also been instructed to report to the Bo West Division.
