Renowned medical practitioner and proprietor of Davidson Nicol Hospital, Dr. Sylvester Nicol, has come under public scrutiny following allegations that he violently evicted his legally married wife, Mrs. Isata Nicol, and their two young children from their home in Baw Baw on the Peninsula during a torrential downpour on Thursday, July 10, 2025.
Eyewitnesses described a disturbing scene in which Dr. Nicol, accompanied by his brother and a group of unidentified men allegedly acting under the authority of a “court order,” forcibly entered Mrs. Nicol’s residence.
The group reportedly threw her household items, clothing, and other valuables into the mud while rain poured, leaving the mother and her children drenched and in tears.
Sources close to the family say there has been no finalized divorce or legal separation between the couple. Yet, Dr. Nicol is accused of using intimidation and force to eject his wife from their matrimonial home, raising serious questions about due process and the abuse of power.
Attempts by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to engage Dr. Nicol have been reportedly ignored. Likewise, the Legal Aid Board’s efforts to mediate the matter were also unsuccessful, further compounding concerns about impunity and disregard for legal protocols.
Speaking after the incident, Mrs. Nicol expressed deep disappointment, saying she was not surprised by her husband’s actions given his recent threats and messaging. “What shocked me was the timing. They came without warning and under heavy rain,” she said.
The incident has stunned neighbors and sparked outrage, especially given Dr. Nicol’s public profile and prior controversies. Community members allege that the doctor has fathered over 10 children with multiple women, including nurses he previously employed many of whom he reportedly abandoned.
