On April 23, 2024, the Pujehun District Students’ Association (PuDSA) announced that a generous philanthropist would reward students excelling in the three major public examinations (NPSE, BECE, and WASSCE) for the 2023/2024 academic year.
In a commendable follow-up to this pledge, the anonymous donor has contributed NLe 750 to each of the two top-performing pupils in the 2024 National Primary School Examination (NPSE) in Pujehun District.
The outstanding recipients, Sombo Conteh from Saint Paul Roman Catholic Primary School in Serabu, Kpanga Chiefdom, and Zainab Collie from Ahmadiyya Primary School in Zimmi, Makpele Chiefdom, both achieved remarkable scores of 313.
Their impressive performances exemplify hard work and determination, inspiring their peers across the district.
It is noteworthy that both Sombo and Zainab are orphans facing significant challenges, including financial difficulties that hinder their ability to pay secondary school entrance fees.
As a result, they have been unable to attend interviews at their preferred secondary schools. This timely donation from PuDSA will help alleviate some of these burdens, allowing them to pursue their educational aspirations.
This act of kindness not only acknowledges the dedication of Sombo Conteh and Zainab Collie but also serves as motivation for all pupils in the district to remain committed to their studies. It is through the support of stakeholders like the anonymous donor that we can help our students overcome obstacles and create brighter
PuDSA expressed thier heartfelt gratitude to this anonymous donor for their invaluable support.
They also encourage other stakeholders to join us in supporting the educational journeys of promising students like Sombo Conteh and Zainab Collie, helping them unlock their full potential.
