The Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) has apologised for the intermittent power cuts and promised to rectify the power outage in Freetown.

The Company said that they are overwhelmed with “technical glitches” but added that they have a technical team working to rectify the problem.

“Be assured that we are working tirelessly to normalize power supply in the Western Areas as soon as the problem is resolved,” EDSA said.

Locals in some parts of greater Freetown and suburbs outside the city have been experiencing power cuts since January. The company last month notified customers of power cuts in January because of technical issues for few days but the city has experienced more power cuts since.

Some locals have voiced their frustration calling the company to restore the issue.
