The family of 22-year-old Namisa Fatmata Kamara, have expressed their dissatisfaction over the slow pace at which the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Sierra Leone Police are investigating the death of their daughter.

Kamara was a first year student of the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) until her sudden death on 9th August last year.

According to the mother of the deceased, Mariama Kargbo her daughter last left their home for the house of Lawyer Sonia Bobani-Browne.

The family subscribed to this theory because the mobile phone charger was said to have been found on a table in the living room of the Bobani-Browne home.

The family said police are sluggish with their investigation because of the influence of lawyer Bobani-Browne who works for Law Officers Department.

Concord Times reported that the two prime suspects in the matter lawyer Bobani-Browne and his mother, Patricia Bobani-Browne were invited for questioning but were released because of lack of evidence.

The police added that it could take up three years before they can truly ascertain the culprit because they lack the requisite technology to fast track the investigation.

Meanwhile, autopsy report done by Dr. Simeon Owizz Koroma confirmed that the young lady died an unnatural death and added that she suffered multiple blunt force fracture, injuries of neck, head and facial bones. The doctor added Kamara suffered severe physical and sexual abuse including manual strangulation with finger excretion.
