In a bid to improve and add to  the development in Kamaa Chiefdom of Kono District, Sahr Gandi Mbriwa Fania on June 16,2024 celebrated with his people as part of an outstanding contribution to the educational landscape of the chiefdom in helping the pupils and parents.

He worked on helping and providing invaluable support to local schools in the chiefdom as part of heightening the educational development and improving on infrastructural development.

Representatives from different schools within the five sections gathered at the Tombudu town barray where they benefited from learning materials worth millions of Leones.

The event incorporated several key figures, including the town chief, who expressed profound gratitude towards Mr. Fania. In his speech, delivered in absentia, the town chief conveyed heartfelt thanks for Mr. Fania’s unwavering support and commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for the children of Kamaa Chiefdom. He lauded Mr. Fania’s foresight and dedication to the development of the region, emphasizing that such gestures are instrumental in uplifting the community.

The ceremony was attended by representatives from the Sierra Leone Teachers Union, the Ministry of Education, section chiefs, and members of the press, among others.

Their presence underscored the significance of the event and the collaborative effort required to advance educational causes. The learning materials provided will significantly enhance the educational resources available to the students, fostering a more conducive learning environment.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Kumba, a class 3 pupil and one of the beneficiaries of Mr. Fania’s generosity. In her heartfelt speech, Kumba expressed her deep appreciation for the new learning materials, highlighting the positive impact they would have on her education and that of her peers. Her words resonated with the audience, encapsulating the collective gratitude of the students and reinforcing the importance of investing in the future of young learners. This celebration not only marked the Day of the African Child but also served as a reminder of the transformative power of education and community support.

He has also helped in providing some solar streetlights, building schools, renovating schools and Tombudu market to name but a few in Tombudu, the chiefdom headquarters town. Because of all his humanitarian gestures, the people of Kamaa thought it fit that he should aspire for the fourth coming paramount chieftaincy for Kamaa chiefdom.
