The Managing Director of Rokel Commercial Bank, Dr. Ekundayo Gilpin, has today graced the 98th-anniversary celebration of his Alma Mater, Prince of Wales Secondary School in Freetown.
Dr. Gilpin, who is the current Board Chairman of the School, encouraged the school pupils at the foundation Ceremony that temporal setbacks are not determined by them but by fate and that they need to be resilient.
“What we have to finalize in our minds is the fact that we want the school to grow, to get better, to get stronger to get more resilient. We want the school to be the pivotal government school in Sierra Leone. We want the school to be an epitome of Sierra Leone’s ability to come out and be strong,” he admonished.
He further revealed that he wants the school to continue to have fellows that would ensure that wherever the school’s name is heard, it resonates with the right vibe.
He further revealed that they are looking forward to the 100th Anniversary as they are going to climax and deliver a mighty bang to the country.
Prince of Wales School is an all-boys secondary school in Freetown. The school was established on April 6, 1925, with an emphasis on fostering science education and modern language studies.
