The JB Technical Institute – Engineers Without Limits S/L Ltd in Makeni has supported youths in building their capacity as well as making themselves useful to the nation.

The Chief Executive Officer, Christopher John Bandabla indicated that the institution is aiming to transform the lives of the youth by training them to become professional engineers and award them a certificate at the end of the course.

He added that upon the completion of his Electrical and Electronics Engineering program from University, he has been certified as a professional trainer.

Bandabla further allay the fears of the general populace, noting that the JB Technical Institute -Engineers Without Limits S/L Ltd is accredited and will work with the dictates with the policies covering education in Sierra Leone.

It is also reported that, with a premium on hands-on training, some of the youths that graduated from the institution are now Solar Engineers at Easy Solar and he is providing job opportunities for those that are currently training at the institution whenever he is awarded a contract.

The CEO maintained that the institute is here to stay and to help in the educational field and make them change agents in their respective communities.

“I feel very confident and happy when sharing my knowledge with them because at times I am spending over Forty Thousand Leones (NLe40, 000.00) for a practical session and which is not equivalent to what I’m receiving but I continue to endure because I want them to be self-reliant and job creators,” he stated.

Baluza Turay residing in Makama, one of the trainees expressed delight to be among those benefiting from the operations of the JB Technical Institute – Engineers Without Limits S/L Ltd. He noted that she has acquired a lot ranging from automation, solar installation, installing inverters amongst other adding.

“It means a lot for me as a young lady to have learned all these at this age with more to come, I’m very delighted and encouraging my colleagues out there to come and make use of this opportunity it is just a matter of commitment we can continue to break the barrier,” she asserted.
