Justice Aiah Simeon Allieu, a High Court Judge has acquitted and released six accused persons who were brought to court on election-related offences.
Police implicated one Moses Bangura, Osman Koroma, Mohamed Kamara and three others on election-related offences.
The five accused were arrested in Freetown on allegations of forging voter registration cards in the 2023 multitier election.
After investigation, the six suspects were charged to the High Court to face charges of forgery. Upon their appearance, the accused persons told the court that they were innocent of the accusations.
Justice Allieu later acquitted and released all six accused at the end of the trial.
