The Kambia District Health Management Team (DHMT) has received another major consignment of 810 cartons of Plumpy Nuts as of 24th January 2025.

This delivery follows the recent arrival of 752 cartons, which included 20 cartons of F-75 and 13 cartons of F-100, aimed at supporting malnourished children across the district.

The Health For All Coalition Sierra Leone – Kambia District Monitoring Team was actively present to supervise the offloading process, ensuring transparency and accountability.

The Coalition praised the efforts of the DHMT’s Supply Chain Management Team, particularly the District Pharmacist, District Logistics Officer (DLO), District Nutritionist, and Store Keeper, for their collaborative efforts in alerting stakeholders and maintaining oversight of the process as mandated by the Ministry of Health under the Directorate of NMSA.

Plumpy Nuts are a critical resource in addressing malnutrition and saving the lives of vulnerable children across the district. With the consignment secured, attention now shifts to the preparation of the distribution matrix and the last-mile delivery to health facilities.

The Health For All Coalition Sierra Leone reiterated its commitment to monitoring the Free Health Care Service Delivery, with nutrition as a key focus area of its routine oversight duties.
