The family of the late Paramount Chief of Kholifa Rowalla Chiefdom, Tonkolili District, Northeast region, has announced the date for his burial in Magburaka town.

Hon. PC Alhaji Masakma Kanamanka III who doubles as Tonkolili District Paramount Chief Member of Parliament succumbed to the cold hands of death in the afternoon hours of November 8th 2024 in Freetown after a sudden illness.

The announcement was made on social media days after the passing of Tonkolili District former Paramount Chief Member of Parliament.
According to the notice, the late man would be laid to rest on the 28th November 2024.

“It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, uncle, and bestie of all time, Paramount Chief Alhaji Masakma Kanamanka III of Kholifa Rowala Chiefdom Tonkolili, who served with dedication and honor as a Member of Parliament, represented the National Council of Paramount Chiefs in Tonkolili District,” the notice reads.

The burial ceremony Activities were announced as follows:

26th November 2024
– Layout of the corpse in the Well of Parliament.
27th November 2024
– Quranic Recitation at his residence 27 Mabum Street Magburaka.
• 28th November 2024.
– Corps Martial from Freetown to his residence at 27 Mabum Street Magburaka. The corpse will later be moved to the Masjid around 1:30 pm.

Finally, the remains of the late Paramount Chief would be taken
to his final Destination, that’s the Muslim Cemetery in Magburaka.

The Sankoh family called on sympathizers to join in giving a befitting burial to the late Chief. The late Paramount Chief would be remembered as a unifier and symbol of peace.
