Sierra Leone’s Entertainment Ambassador, Kao Denero, has responded sharply to a social media comment made by State House Communications Director, Myk Berewa.

The exchange follows a publicized dispute between Kao Denero and musician Boss LA.

In his post, Myk Berewa commented on the conduct of public officials, stating, “If you’re a diplomat, ambassador, envoy, or emissary, mention some steeze.” The remark appeared to be a general observation but was interpreted by Kao Denero as a critique of his handling of the recent saga.

Kao Denero’s response was direct and critical, as he addressed Myk Berewa’s approach to the matter:

“Be direct, man, for once, Myk. A sitting mayor in Kenema was disrespected—no post from you. Commissioner Ben Kelfala was also recently publicly attacked, but no cautionary message from you, brother. And now my wife was publicly disrespected, but you generalize things? Honesty doesn’t kill; exercise or practice it for once and be at peace.”

The exchange has sparked a wave of reactions on social media, with many discussing the responsibilities and public conduct of individuals in high-profile positions. While some support Kao Denero’s call for more specific and honest communication, others believe Myk Berewa’s initial comment was intended as a broader statement on diplomatic decorum.
