Amidst growing concerns over the escalating issue of drug abuse among Sierra Leonean youth, the Kellie Foundation is gearing up to launch a pivotal initiative titled “Operation Say NO To Drug Abuse, Addiction, and Youth Violence Amongst Young People

The campaign is set to kick off with a nationwide jugging spanning  across 16 districts.

This initiative comes as a crucial response to the prevalent problem of drug misuse, which continues to impact the youth in our society significantly.

The foundation’s CEO Elijah Kellie, Moses Kellie emphasized the organization’s mission, stating, “Our aims are to educate, equip, engage, and enable communities to address the pressing issues of drug abuse and youth violence amongst young people in Sierra Leone.”

The Kellie Foundation invites young people from across Sierra Leone to actively participate in this campaign, scheduled to kick off on Saturday, October 7, 2023, simultaneously in each of the 16 districts. The foundation sees community involvement as a cornerstone of their efforts to combat drug abuse and youth violence.

Additionally, the foundation has extended a heartfelt call for support to achieve the goals set forth by the Kellie Foundation NGO. They are reaching out to a wide range of stakeholders, including corporate organizations, independent companies, student organizations, and the government, to collaborate in their mission to create a safer and drug-free environment for Sierra Leone’s youth.

The launch of “Operation Say NO To Drug Abuse, Addiction, and Youth Violence” represents a significant step forward in addressing the pressing issue of drug misuse among young people.
