In high dignitary attended occasion at the Port Loko District council, Leone Rock mining company made SLE:5,640,000,000 community development and surface rent payment to the Port Loko community on Saturday 2nd December 2023.

The event was graced by a host of personalities including the Hon. Speaker of parliament, Presidential spokesman, government Ministers, members of parliament, Port Loko District council chairman and City mayor, resident Ministers of North East and North West Regions, Paramount Chiefs and many others.

The Honourable guests were welcomed by the P.C of Maforki chiefdom who assured that his chiefdom is peaceful and ready to accept anyone as long as he or she is not a bad person. He further thanked President Bio for allowing the company to mine in the country as development has taken place in communities of it’s operation.

Resident Minister Amb. Bond Wurrie chaired the program. In his brief statement, he shared his past experience with the company. Members of parliament of the district also thanked the company and assured it of their fullest support.

Salim Sillah, on behalf of the Leone Rock Metal Group, mentioned the stand of the company to work with the country. He assured of their in not only times of Peace but also in times of instability.

The event was climaxed with entertainment by the ambassadors of the metal group who performed a message song against kush, followed by cultural dancers called Kandeh Bureh.
