The Madingo Youth Organisation (MYO) successfully held its annual symposium and iftar on Sunday evening at the Masjid Qudus (Madingo Mosque), Magazine Cut in Freetown.
The symposium and iftar attracted hundreds of people who benefited from lectures and break their fast at the mosque during the end of the program.
The program saw renowned Muslim scholars like Alhaji Umar Sesay, Sheikh Badamasi Savage, Imam Yazid Rashid, Ridwan Habib, and Sheikh Alpha Swarray give lectures on tradition, God’s mercy, and other important topics in Islam.
The organization has been holding the symposium for several years now and promised to continue as a way of propagating Islam while providing charity in their community altogether.
MYO also distributed gifts like Islamic books, Qurans, hijabs, and caps to some attendees at the ceremony.
The President of the Organisation, Mustapha Fofanah told Sierraloaded that they wish to attract more members and that they plan to organize a dinner in December this year.
