Chief Bobana Kallon of Fulawahun Section has apprehended Osman Augustine Tengbeh, a community member, for possession of forty-five wraps of kush and alleged theft of fowl.
The arrest followed a report from a community member who alleged that Tengbeh had stolen her fowl and was involved in dealing kush. Acting swiftly on this information, Chief Bobana proceeded to the garage where Tengbeh worked as a mechanic. Coincidentally, upon arrival, he saw Tengbeh disembarking from a commercial motorbike. Without hesitation, Chief Bobana approached and arrested him.
A search of Tengbeh revealed forty-five parcels of kush in his possession.
Commending Chief Bobana for his proactive approach, CSP Edison Vandi, the Local Unit Commander of Kenema Division, lauded the Chief’s commitment to maintaining safety and order in his community. “It’s commendable to see a Chief taking such proactive measures to protect his community,” CSP Vandi remarked, emphasizing the need for more leaders like Chief Bobana who are willing to take decisive action against crime.
Commissioner Andrew M. Kamara, the Regional Police Commander-East, also praised the importance of community policing and citizen involvement in supporting law enforcement efforts. He highlighted Chief Bobana’s actions as a prime example of effective collaboration between community leaders and law enforcement, enhancing overall crime prevention strategies.
