Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Brima Kamara has disclosed that they have in custody one Ishmael Mansaray, who allegedly murdered a 1 year-9 month-old baby after turning into a baboon.

He made this disclosure on Tuesday 24th January 2023 at the police’s usual press briefing held at their headquarters in George Street, Freetown.

ASP Kamara, who also happens to be the Head of Media and Public Relations of Sierra Leone Police said that on the 3rd of January 2023, the suspect, Ishmael Mansaray transformed himself into a baboon creature and attacked the one-year nine-month-old baby, Amidu Mansaray. He added that the infant was murdered in the process.

He further said that the mother of the deceased child, Mamusu Kamara was also allegedly assaulted by the suspect.

He concluded by stating that investigations into the said incident is in progress and the suspect is in police custody.
