A chimpanzee has reportedly attacked a man, causing him severe facial injuries and leaving him in critical condition.
According to local reports, this distressing event occurred on Thursday in Kasseh, Kambia District, Sierra Leone.
Subsequently, villagers responded by shooting and fatally injuring the chimpanzee, with the incident being disseminated through a WhatsApp forum.

Please we want to know what the ministry of tourism has done about this because when our people are being attacked by these bush animals and when the people in return kill them they the tourism minister will defend the animals as if they are better than the humans who are constantly involved in the danger
This is sad! The ministry of tourism has to do something about this, because they are the one defending animals over human beings. And the thing is that they failed to put high measures about this so called animals. May this man injured restore his health again but honestly he has been damage and will never gain his normal face again and I wonder if he will have his sight again, May God take control 🙏.

The ministry of Tourism have left the entire forest beared with no mention in place, the only thing they know is how to write a big project inscribing how to manage those wildlife animals , when they receive this money they sat down
and squandered them.
I read the headline and before clicking, I was thinking how is a chimpanzee putting a man in critical condition, almost doesn’t make sense, then I saw the picture. That is a gorilla, not a chimp. Very sad occurence, thank God for those that were around to take out the animal. I hope people are not looking to go after gorillas for bush meat. Unless you shoot from a very far distance, that is a losing battle
