Alie Forster, a man shot in the leg by a security guard of former Minister of Internal Affairs, Lahai Lawrence Leema, is pleading for financial assistance from the public to rebuild his life after years of suffering and hardship.

In an emotional social media video, Alie recounted the tragic incident, which occurred on February 1, 2020, and left him permanently disabled. He revealed that he was rushed to the Emergency Hospital in Goderich, where doctors performed surgery on his leg and inserted an iron rod to stabilize it.

However, just four days after the operation, he was taken to the Male Correctional Center, where he was detained for 19 months.

While in prison, Alie’s condition worsened significantly. By the time he was released, his leg had become severely infected, leading doctors to amputate it to prevent the spread of cancer. He also developed a hernia due to the iron rod inserted during the initial surgery

. Although he underwent another surgery to address the hernia, thanks to the help of kind-hearted individuals, doctors have advised him to rest for at least three months to recover fully.

Despite the medical advice, Alie explained that he has been unable to rest due to a lack of financial support. Struggling to feed himself, he has resorted to begging on the streets, often returning home empty-handed. “I have no one to support me,” he said, appealing for assistance to start a small business that would enable him to sustain himself and regain his independence.

Alie has shared his contact information (+23276904599) for anyone willing to offer support.
