Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of Pademba Road Court No.6 in Freetown has remanded one 23-year-old Ansumana Serry at the Male Correctional Centre for Larceny.
The Accused was arraigned in Court on one count charge of Larceny contrary to section 2(p1) of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of the offence, the Accused on Saturday, March 18 2023, at No. 42 New Town off Wilkinson Road Freetown; stole one freezer pot valued at one thousand five hundred Leones (1500) property of Hassan Kemoh Daramy.
After reading the charge to the accused, he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Mohamed Kamara told the Court that his witness was absent; he, therefore requested a short adjournment date.
Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra denied the Accused bail and sent him on remand at the male Correctional Centre.
The case was however adjourned to Friday, March 31 2023, for another hearing.
