Three men have been arrested by the Harbour Police Division following a series of targeted anti-drug operations carried out across several communities in Freetown, police said.

The arrests were made on Tuesday, 3 February 2026, during coordinated raids aimed at disrupting the possession and sale of illegal drugs within the division. According to the Harbour Police Division Operations Team, the operations focused on areas identified as hotspots for drug-related activities.

In one operation at White House, Cline Town, police arrested Abdul Kamara of No. 10 Campbell Lane. Officers said he was found in possession of six hundred and thirty-seven (637) wraps of a substance suspected to be Cannabis Sativa.

In a separate raid at Dan Street Market, police apprehended Michael Momodu of Up Gun. He was allegedly found with twenty-seven (27) wraps of a substance believed to be Kush, according to the Operations Team.

Meanwhile, at Coconut Farm, officers arrested Alimamy Kamara of No. 4 Off Black Hall Road. Police said he was found in possession of fifty-four (54) sachets of a substance suspected to be Cannabis Sativa.

The Harbour Police Division confirmed that all three suspects are currently in police custody and are assisting with ongoing investigations. The substances recovered during the operations have been secured and registered as exhibits, pending further forensic examination.

Police authorities said the raids form part of continuous efforts to combat illegal drug activities and protect communities within the Harbour Police Division. The division reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining such operations to ensure public safety and reduce drug-related crimes in Freetown.
