Sierra Leone Police personnel at the Fallah Checkpoint in Bo arrested two individuals for possessing illegal drugs.
Sylvester Godgie Lahai, a resident of Ogu Farm in Freetown, was found to have a quantity of cannabis sativa, while Lamin Fofanah, a resident of 14 Kissi Town Road, Bo City, was discovered to have a significant amount of kush.
The culprits were apprehended the illegal substances after a thorough search and investigation conducted by police officers at the checkpoint.
Assistant Inspector General (AIG)Brima Kanneh urged residents to report any suspicious activities related to kush and collaborate with law enforcement to combat its presence in their communities.
He said the police remain committed to tackling drug-related crimes and ensuring the safety of the community.
I commend the Fallah Check Point personnel for their vigilance. I could recall another arrest effected at the same Check Point sometimes in February this year. This means that they are really committed to ensuring a stable Sierra Leone.
I however grave on the indulgence of SIERRA LOADED to be reporting arrests at check points as a collective responsibility of the army and Sierra Leone Police.
