Military Officers Accused of Land Grabbing and Physical Assaults in Waterloo

A University Student living at Waterloo has accused Military Officers of Land grabbing and physical Assaults on herself and family members.

According to the lady, it all started after some people came to their community and started demolishing houses claiming the lands belong to someone else.

The lady said they made an attempt to demolish theirs but her parents resisted, adding that they have lived on the land in question for the last twenty-five years and they have legal documents for the property.

The lady continued that after resisting the people from demolishing their property, a set of Military Officers came to their compound on afternoon started inspecting the compound and they decided to questioned them but they were told they came to demolished their house claiming that someone has bought the land which the government is aware of.

The lady further stated that the Military Officers immediately started erecting sticks to marked where they should demolished, but her father could not let them and attempted to stop they but he was pushed to the flood by the officers.

She said her brother came to defend their father but he was beating by the officers and they also went ahead to slap her younger brother who is about ten-year-old.

He said her father continued to resist they but he was beating with the tail of their guns and collapsed on the process.

She alleged that one of the officers kicked her on the stomach and ever since then she has been bleeding.

According to her, the road which leads them out of their compound had been blocked, and her family is calling on the authority concern to come to their aid.
