The Muslim Women Advocacy Network Sierra Leone, has celebrated another young Hijabee by the name Ramatu Nafisatu Sankoh, whom has been legally certified into the Sierra Leone Institution of Engineers as a graduate member (GMSLIE).
With pride and honor MWANSL took to Facebook pictures of this beautiful hijabie with this caption below:
“Her name is Ramatu Nafisatu Sankoh . She’s a lady striving hard to uphold her religious identity and to fight against the misconceptions of who a Muslim woman is, should be and what society dictate for them.
AlhamduliLlaah we are celebrating another sister who has recently been legally certified into the Sierra Leone Institution of Engineers as a graduate member (GMSLIE). Let us remember her in our prayers so this achievement of hers will be beneficial to her and us all.
Women struggle a lot and go through lots of constraints to be empowered and lead and being that she has experienced it, she shares these beautiful and inspiring words to us all:
“ I will like for others to persevere, strive hard no matter the discriminations faced or the gender domination. Being a hijabee does not make you stupid, less of a person nor inferior to others. No matter the descipline you have as a hijabee, make yourself relevant, unique and professional. So many obstacles may arise from superiors at different levels, however don’t allow yourself to be victimized and I will say it again be professional and make yourself relevant. “
We are so proud of you darling and we hope and pray for more achievements form you and form other hijabees. We’re also looking forward to see niqabees climbing the academic ladder.”
