The National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA) has commenced training of twenty-four (24) senior and technical staff on self-paced e-learning projects in Controlled Environment (PRINCE2) Project Management as part of Intensifying its Rapid Delivery Strategy.
The structured training is part of the ongoing institutional recalibration and restructuring to rapidly deliver on all projects which follow and supports the institutional review’s recommendation.
The review was undertaken specifically to re-align the vision, mission, core values and organizational structure of the Commission within the context of the NaCSA Act of 2019.
The Act entails defining new priority areas that support NaCSA’s broad mandates. Effectively repositioning the Commission to achieve this mandate requires staff capacity building on requisite skills and expertise respectively.
Dr Sao-Kpato Hannah Isatta Macarthy, the Commissioner of NaCSA emphasised the importance of the training and noted that the rapid delivery strategy requires innovative and prompt action at different intervals for effective work delivery.
She clearly spelt out the importance of being a Prince 2 fellow as it carries greater influence and attraction to securing international job opportunities beyond NaCSA because of the weight the fellowship inspires globally.
‘’NaCSA is committed to building the capacity of its employees when it can and already boasts of a learning culture and environment as witnessed by the number of its employees who are enrolled on Continuous Self Development (CSD) courses on their own initiatives and self-sponsorship.’’
Munya Radzihove, the Consultant on compliance, appreciating the regional coordinators, acknowledged that the effort is to build staff capacity upon the completion of the learning evaluation contract.
He further encouraged RCs to be committed and work effectively towards completing the learning within the shortest duration of 3 months or 12 months maximum which may incorporate other developmental strives ij due times.
