Eustace Connel, a National Protected Area Authority (NPAA) staff employed as Forest Guard, has been remanded in prison.
Connel detention came after he made an appearance before Magistrate Santigie Bangura of the Magistrate Court No.2 on Tuesday 10th September 2024 for the alleged malicious wounding of a teacher, David Joseph Kemoh Williams.
The accused Eustace Connell is standing trial on two counts of charges, wounding contrary to Section 20 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861 and Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm contrary to Section 47 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861.
According to the particulars of offence, count one alleged that the accused on Saturday 13th April 2024, at Charlotte Village, Freetown, maliciously wounded David Joseph Kemoh Williams.
Count 2 states that, the accused on the same date and place assaulted David Joseph Kemoh Williams in a manner thereby occasioning actual bodily harm.
The Matter was adjourned to 17th September 2024, for further hearing. Police Constable (PC)8235 Kebbie is Prosecuting the matter.
