NSA Chief Dr. Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai is throwing a challenge at the Kenema Old Students Association (KOSA) to grab the opportunity of developing their school’s sports facilities.
Dr. Abdulai made this inspiring call at the school during his sports facility assessment tour in Kenema late last week.
Scanning the school environment, Dr. Abdulai set his eyes on potential sites good enough to keep sport alive. “The Kenema Government Secondary School has one of the best places for sports development. I call on the past pupils to invest in the facilities to attract more pupils.
“I want to challenge KOSA and the School authorities that Government is ready to develop their facilities, but they need to come in half-way as the school is their own,” he said.
The School has spots for athletics, volleyball, basketball, roll-ball, lawn tennis, netball, and handball. It plays host to most annual athletics meets organized by learning institutions such as the Eastern Technical University (ETU) and the Republic of the Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) in Kenema.
