The Ma Nyande Farming and Development Organization has successfully held a strategic planning and stakeholders engagement meeting at the Moyamba District Council Hall in Moyamba Township.

The meeting, which brought together farmers, agricultural stakeholders, and targeted authorities, was aimed at strengthening collaboration and enhancing farming activities across the district. The Chief Executive Officer of the organization, Madam Juliet Lavally, led the engagement alongside her management team.

In her address, Madam Lavally reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to improving agricultural productivity and rural development in several chiefdoms, including Kori, Kowa, Kamajei, and Kaiyamba. She emphasized the importance of unity, innovation, and community participation in achieving sustainable farming practices.
Madam Lavally has been widely recognized as a strong advocate for agricultural growth in Moyamba District. Her efforts align with the Government of Sierra Leone’s flagship agricultural program, the Feed Salone Initiative, which focuses on boosting local food production and ensuring food security nationwide.

Ma Nyande Organization currently comprises more than five women-led Farmer-Based Organizations (FBOs). Through continuous technical and material support, the organization has empowered these women’s groups to expand their farming activities and improve their livelihoods.

Speaking after the meeting, the Block Extension Supervisor for Block 2 announced the nomination of Madam Juliet Lavally for an Outstanding Farming Award. The nomination recognizes her exceptional contributions and unwavering support toward promoting the activities and projects of the Ministry of Agriculture within the district.
Stakeholders at the meeting commended Ma Nyande Organization for its proactive approach and expressed optimism that the collaboration would significantly enhance agricultural productivity and community development across Moyamba District.

The engagement marks another important step toward strengthening partnerships and advancing farming initiatives in the region.
