On May 9th, 2024, a covert operation conducted by the Operations Team of the Harbour Police Division led to the apprehension of three notorious Kush drug dealers who had been under surveillance by the division’s intelligence team.

Foday Bangura, alias Pa Foday, aged 33 and hailing from Quarry, Up Cold Water, off Blackhall Road, Freetown, was arrested with 305 wraps of Kush. Additionally, 37-year-old Yusif Kamara from Peace Market, Ferry Junction, Freetown, was found in possession of 58 wraps of Kush. Meanwhile, 24-year-old Amadu Kallay from 3 Belmoh Street, off Kamara Bar in the East End of Freetown, was discovered with 33 wraps of Kush.

Inspector Alpha Umaru Jalloh, the Operations Officer of the Harbour Police Division, expressed confidence in the ongoing support from the communities within their jurisdiction to eradicate the illegal trade and consumption of Kush. Inspector Jalloh, known as “Inspector Dragon” due to his resolute stance against Kush, has garnered praise from residents of the Harbour community for his team’s efforts.
