The Harbour Police Division has arrested notorious drug dealer Abdul Katta and accomplices, seizing 223 wraps of Kush drug during the operation.

Conducting a proactive operation fueled by community intelligence, the Operations Team of the Harbour Police Division executed a dusk-to-dawn raid, resulting in the apprehension of 23-year-old Abdul Katta, a well-known drug dealer residing at 139 Fourah Bay Road in the east end of Freetown. Katta was found in possession of 223 wraps of Kush, a potent illicit substance.

The raid didn’t stop there. Authorities also arrested several other individuals allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade. Among them are 56-year-old Mohamed Fofanah of 23 Cline Street, Gibril Kassim Conteh of Culvert, Alusine Kamara of Cline Town, Abu Bakarr Conteh of 36 Mamba Ridge, and Alimatu Samura of Cline Street, Freetown. They were apprehended with a quantity of wrapped Kush drug in their possession.

Expressing gratitude to the vigilant community members whose tips led to these arrests, veteran LUC Kpulun of the Harbour Police Division emphasized the relentless determination of law enforcement to eradicate the scourge of Kush and other illegal drugs from the streets. Currently, the suspects and the confiscated evidence are in police custody, awaiting further legal proceedings.
