The Sierra Leone Police Hospital, Kingtom Management on Thursday 2nd February 2023, embarked on community health sensitisation, targeting three communities, Kolleh Town; Ascension Town, and Kroobay.

The Health sensitization was under the supervision of Dr. John Conteh, head of Hospital Management, and the Hospital Matron, DSP Kaday Hannah Turay,

The Community Health Sensitization was based on key issues considered as health priorities; Antenatal for pregnant women, Postnatal, Complimentary breastfeeding, Immunization, and Hygiene.

“This is an ongoing process that caters not only to Police personnel but also to community members. This process is targeted to every appropriate child of age bracket and pregnant women”, Dr. John Conteh reaffirmed.

The Police Hospital at Kingtom over the years has been providing health facilities, not only to Police personnel but equally so to community members.

However, this has now been improved to another level of not only offering treatment but also providing Community Health Sensitization under the directive of the Inspector General of Police, Mr. William Fayia Sellu.

The weighing of malnourished children, and the distribution of mosquito-treated bed nets, climaxed the ceremony.
