Police in the rural district of Waterloo have arrested a Ghanaian together with a man and woman for possession of huge quantity of suspected cannabis sativa at Paw Paw Road.

“Their house was raided by the Operations Team of Waterloo Division, and huge quantity of dried leaves stashed in rubber drums reasonably suspected to be cannabis sativa found,” Waterloo Police said.

The police also revealed that cannabis compressor machine, bags of imported fertilisers, water pumping machine and other equipment believed to be used in the cultivation and processing of the drug were also found at the scene.

They said the three suspects are now in custody helping with investigation while the items discovered being treated as exhibits.

Waterloo, which is now a bustling town located outside the capital Freetown, is currently known as hub for crime with police operations uncovering crimes and bizarre occurrences in a weekly basis.

Recently, another police operation discovered a shrine where they believed a university lecturer was murdered and buried.
