The Regional Criminal Investigation Department-Eastern Region is presently investigating an alleged murder, which was reported in the early hours of 17th August 2024, at the Kenema Police Station.

According to the Regional Crime Officer, East; D/ASP. Mohamed Feika, the matter, which occurred in the New England Area, in the Nyandeyama Section, Kenema City, has been fully registered at his investigation pool, and his team of investigators is currently working on the matter to see how best they would bring justice to the deceased and his family.

He revealed that two suspects; Abdulrahman Jalloh of Burma III and Fatmata Sow of New England Nyandeyama Section, have been arrested and brought in by the police for interrogation about the alleged murder.

In an interview with the investigating officer, D/PC 11702 Bao M.M, he said that he got the information about the alleged murder from the Operation Departments of the Kenema Division, who were called by an OSD Officer, stating that he had bumped into a dying man, who was lying by a white motorcycle around New England axis.

Responsively, they moved into the identified place and found a 21-year-old man, who was later known as Juldeh Jalloh of Hangha Road, lying dead on his motorbike.

Detective Bao noted that they searched the area for potential signs and evidence that could provide clues about the incident. It was during this search that they discovered footprints leading to a nearby house.

During the investigation, one of the police officers recognized the deceased, Juldeh Jalloh, as a friend. It was also discovered that the deceased had a lover in the area, who was identified as Fatima Sow.

The police then contacted a woman living in the house, who initially denied any knowledge of Fatima Sow and claimed to be living alone with her child. However, after further investigation, the officers were able to confirm her identity as Fatima Sow and also discovered a man hiding in one of the rooms.

The woman, Fatima Sow, and the man, Abdulrahman Jalloh, were both taken into custody and brought to the police station for further questioning and investigation.
