A Police Officer attached to the Pujehun Police Division, who is supposed to maintain law and order in his local area by protecting members of the public and their property, preventing crime and reducing the fear of crime, has allegedly penetrated a teenage female suspect under their custody.
The Complaints Discipline and Internal Investigations Department (CDID) and the Family Support Unit (FSU) are jointly investigating a police officer who is said to have sexually penetrated a teenage female suspect in their custody for an alleged murder case.
ASP John Kenawa Square is the Divisional Media and Community Relations Officer in Pujehun police Division had confirmed, on Thursday 9 November 2021, that the aforementioned suspect alleged that police constable 19259 Augustine Dauda a two-year-old man in the police force had sexually penetrated her.
ASP Square described the incident as negative to his institution and assured all of swift investigation.
He concluded that the alleged Police Officer will have to face the full force of the law if found guilty as the Police Force is a responsible and discipline Organization ready to win the trust and confidence of the general public.
