The Port Loko District Council have provided local operational tools for 28 communities in the northwest district.

The tools were presented to 28 councillors representing the communities on October 8, this year.

The distribution took place at the Port Loko District Council compound where they received wheel barrows, hoes, cutlasses, shovels, rakes, pick axes and head pans. This package came after councillors requested to be embarking on minor activities at their various localities.

Overseen by the administration of the council, the tools were equally shared among them backed with two escort vehicles for those coming from long distances.

Upon receiving the tools, Councillor Sankoh remarked, “Accept a gift for the sentiment that bares it and not for it value.”

These tools are expected to be used for minor community activities involving councillors and their following youths at various localities.
